New SANI COVER Keeps Drying Dishes Germ-Free and Kid-Safe

Pittsburgh – October 06, 2026 -- An inventor from Mt Vernon, N.Y., has designed a new cover for dish drying racks aimed at keeping dishes clean while they dry.

The cover blocks germs, bugs and small fingers from reaching dishes

Called the SANI COVER, the device fits over a standard dish rack and is designed to let air circulate so dishes can still dry properly. At the same time, it creates a barrier that keeps dust, insects and contaminants off clean dishware.

The design also protects children from sharp utensils

According to the inventor, the cover offers a protective barrier between sharp objects such as knives and a child's fingers, addressing a safety concern for households with young kids.

The invention is now seeking a manufacturer or buyer

The original design was submitted to the Manhattan sales office of InventHelp, a Pittsburgh-based invention submission company. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers and marketers.
