VicBlends Launches BetterDays, a Grooming Brand Rooted in Barbershop Culture

United States – September 29, 2026 -- Celebrity barber VicBlends (Victor Fontanez) has launched BetterDays, a men's grooming brand selling two barber-grade hair products priced at $20 each.

The brand debuts with a leave-in conditioner and a texture powder

Rebound Cream, a lightweight leave-in conditioner, uses Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and Pro-Vitamin B5 to hydrate dry hair and strengthen follicles. Grip Powder, a texture powder made with Arrowroot Powder and Silica, offers styling control without residue. Both products are made in the USA and feature a custom fragrance called "Scent No. 26."

VicBlends built his following through free haircuts and prison barber education

Fontanez, who has cut hair for clients including former President Barack Obama and Tom Brady, has more than 23 million social media followers. He has given free haircuts to young men in Atlanta, New York, and other U.S. cities. In August 2025, he opened VicBlends Academy inside Valley State Prison in Chowchilla, California, described as the first licensed barber school in a California state prison, allowing incarcerated men to train toward a state barber license.

"I've seen firsthand how a fresh haircut isn't just about the looks; it's a mental reset that immediately lifts you up," Fontanez said, adding that he overcame his own mental health struggles and a bipolar I diagnosis.

The company has raised $7 million from investors including a rapper

BetterDays is led by CEO Joey Thomas, who previously worked on the growth strategy for DUDE Wipes. The company was incubated by Root and has raised $7 million in funding, with lead investors Maveron and Will Ventures, plus a strategic investment from rapper Lil Baby.

BetterDays products are sold through BetterDaysHair.com, TikTok Shop, and Amazon.
