WaterField's New SteamPack Turns Your Steam Deck Into a Travel-Ready Console

San Francisco – September 17, 2026 -- WaterField Designs launched the SteamPack, a $179 structured case built to carry a full Steam Deck setup, including the dock, two Steam Controllers, power brick and cables, available starting 8 a.m. PDT Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026 at SFBags.com.

The case solves a portability gap between the handheld and its accessories

While the Steam Deck itself travels easily, the dock, controllers and cords needed for big-screen play do not, according to the company. The SteamPack organizes all of these components so a user can bring a complete setup to a hotel, a friend's home or any other destination with a display.

Dedicated compartments separate the console, dock and controllers

The Steam Deck rests in a plush-lined compartment featuring an Ultrasuede screen-facing liner that doubles as a built-in screen cleaner. Two separate plush pockets hold the Steam Controllers, while a custom-sized padded pocket between the console and controllers fits the power brick and HDMI cord to prevent shifting during transit.

The Steam Deck Dock sits in its own compartment beneath a full-grain leather flap with a magnetic closure. A rear zippered mesh pocket holds Steam Controller Pucks and microSD cards.

Full-grain leather and waterproof zippers reinforce the build

Full-grain leather wraps the bottom and sides for added protection, and dual waterproof YKK zippers provide weather resistance. A stitched and riveted leather-wrapped handle supports hand carry, and D-ring attachment points accommodate an optional removable Sling Strap.
