PITAKA Debuts New iPhone 18 Cases with Wind-Inspired Design at Berlin Event

Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- PITAKA, the maker of aramid-fiber phone cases and MagSafe accessories, hosted its first brand event on September 4 at The Feuerle Collection, a converted industrial space turned art museum in Berlin, to unveil new iPhone 18 accessories and a design called Wind Over Wheat.

Guests explored five themed stations built around material and sound.

Starting at 8 p.m., visitors moved through stations including 'Material Speaks,' where attendees handled PITAKA's Moment and Trace product lines side by side, and 'Meditation in the Wind,' which paired recordings of wind through wheat fields with the sounds of aramid fiber weaving.

The night's centerpiece was the debut of a new weaving technique.

PITAKA presented the world premiere of the Wind Over Wheat Trace Form Edition alongside the public debut of Trace Form, a technique that lets select fibers shift from their programmed pattern so texture forms through a mix of human judgment and material behavior. The evening closed with a short film following a sound artist recording in wheat fields before performing an original score live at the event.

Wind Over Wheat launches in three finishes on September 17.

The design, part of PITAKA's Trace collection, draws on the movement of wind across a wheat field and uses woven aramid fiber to reflect that motion. It will be available in Golden Drift, Surging Awn and Berlin Nocturne finishes, with the limited Trace Form Edition arriving September 17 alongside PITAKA's new iPhone 18 accessories collection.

PITAKA's founder framed the launch as a shift away from pure specs.

"Technology has become incredibly precise, but we're interested in what happens when we leave room for material, human judgment and nature to participate in the process," said James Zheng, Founder of PITAKA. He added that the goal is to build products people can see, touch and feel connected to, rather than ones defined only by thinness or protection.
