BERLIN -- September 01, 2026 -- Yarbo will show off the finished version of its M Series yard robot at IFA 2026, running September 4 to 8 in Berlin, marking the machine's move from a CES prototype to a product homeowners can actually buy. The compact, modular robot handles mowing, snow clearing and leaf collection on standard residential yards, complementing the larger Y Series built for bigger properties. Visitors can see the M Series firsthand at two exhibition spaces, indoors and outdoors, during the show.
Compact Chassis Handles Slopes, Steps and Wet Grass
The M Series trims down Yarbo's footprint compared with earlier models, a design choice the company said lowers the barrier to yard automation for smaller properties. Its tracked chassis grips wet grass, dirt, stone pavers and mixed surfaces, and the robot can climb slopes up to roughly 35 degrees, or a 70% grade, and step over edges around 2 inches high.
The robot can also tow up to about 220 pounds, enough to pull small carts, tools or future accessories across the yard.
Setup and Charging Shrink to Minutes
Homeowners won't need to bury boundary wires to get the M Series running. Using Data Center Gen2, NetRTK positioning and an optional LiDAR sensor, the robot can complete initial placement, mapping and basic setup in about 30 minutes.
Its wireless charging system takes the battery from 10% to 90% in around 65 minutes, and auto-charging with task-resume lets the M20 and M20i models mow up to 1.5 acres in a single day without a person stepping in to restart the job.
One Core, Many Modules
Yarbo's approach started with a robotic snow blower, an early attempt to automate a chore most people still do by hand. The company later built out what it calls a '1+N' system: one universal Core unit that pairs with swappable modules for mowing, snow clearing, leaf collection and other seasonal tasks, rather than requiring a separate machine for each job.
Backers Fund the M Series Ahead of Launch
Interest in that modular pitch showed up in the numbers this year, when the M Series raised more than $3.6 million from 850 backers through crowdfunding, a sign of demand for multi-purpose yard robots over single-task machines.
Berlin Show Floor Lets Visitors Test the Modules
At IFA, Yarbo is splitting its presence between an indoor booth at H9-122 and an outdoor space at OCG-137, both set up for hands-on demonstrations. The M Series will appear with its Mower, Snow Blower and Collector modules attached, while Trimmer and Smart Assist modules, still in development, are expected to expand what the platform can do across different seasons.
