Erebus leads with nearly 30 years of immersive horror

Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac, Michigan, takes guests on a four-story descent through more than half a mile of indoor sets centered on Dr. Colber's world of experimentation. The attraction has operated for nearly 30 years, drawing Halloween fans from throughout Metro Detroit.

Factory of Terror spans over a mile with 100-plus actors

Factory of Terror in Canton, Ohio, marks 25 years in 2026 with over a mile of haunted attractions, more than 100 live actors, moving walls and animatronics. Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, run by three generations of the Bates family on Arasapha Farm, features a 25-minute Haunted Hayride through a 100-foot-long, 40-foot-tall drive-through asylum set and a full-scale New England church. The 2026 expansion builds on 2025 additions that included a 15-building Wild West town and an abandoned toxic-waste dump set.

Each attraction's team spends the off-season designing, building and testing new sets, characters and effects before the Halloween season opens to guests.
