Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – October 07, 2026 -- The 6th Annual Pumpkins & Palm Trees Fall Festival returns to Las Olas Oceanside Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with free admission and an expanded lineup of carnival rides, a student pie-baking contest and a musical trick-or-treat trail.
Presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale Beach Business Improvement District (BBID), the family event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., with the Oceanside Community MKT open separately from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free admission covers photo stations, STEM exhibits and candy games
Entry to the festival itself costs nothing. Included activities feature an interactive photo station sponsored by Stoked on Salt, hands-on exploration aboard the MODS STEMobile, balloon artistry from SoFlo Community Markets, lawn games with candy prizes and the Broward Center Spotlights Trick-or-Treat Trail, running from noon to 2 p.m.
Carnival wristbands cost $10 or $12 with a pumpkin add-on
Families who want inflatable attractions and games can buy a $10 Carnival Wristband covering unlimited access to the Carnival Circus Bounce, Climb and Slide, Harvest Corn Maze, Big Top Bounce House and 3-in-1 Sports Challenge, plus five classic carnival games offering plush prizes. A $12 version adds one pumpkin to decorate at a Coastal Wealth-sponsored station, available while supplies last. Student bakers compete for culinary bragging rights from 10 a.m. to noon
The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) Broward Student Pie Baking Competition returns for its sixth year, giving aspiring bakers a chance to showcase skills tied to South Florida's hospitality industry. Rozeta Mahboubi, FRLA Broward's Chapter Director, said the contest helps students build real-world experience and connections within the hospitality field.
Costumed performers sing along the trick-or-treat trail
During the Broward Center Spotlights Trick-or-Treat Trail, costumed youth performers stationed along the route will sing songs from productions in the Broward Center for the Performing Arts' current season as children collect treats station to station. Families can also enter to win a free bike from Freeride.
Lisa Namor, BBID Chair and General Manager of Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - a Doubletree by Hilton, said the festival has become a fall tradition that brings together residents and visitors along the beach.
Parking is available at the Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, with PayByPhone offering remote extensions for attendees.
