Kentucky Legend Sponsors Rising Bass Angler Andrew Krintz

Owensboro, Ky. – October 06, 2026 -- Kentucky Legend, the ham and bacon maker, has signed a sponsorship deal with competitive bass angler Andrew Krintz, backing the young fisherman as he pursues a professional career in the sport.

Krintz currently fishes for Purdue University in collegiate tournaments nationwide.

He has already qualified for a national collegiate championship and is now aiming to compete professionally within Major League Fishing.

Kentucky Legend calls the partnership a fit built on shared values.

Mike Riley, Chief Growth Officer at Kentucky Legend, said Krintz represents the brand's focus on tradition, family and community. "He's talented and driven, but he's also incredibly grounded," Riley said, adding that the company is "excited to be along for the ride."

Tournament days start before sunrise and often stretch for hours before weigh-in.

Krintz has brought a Kentucky Legend ham sandwich along during those long days to keep his energy up on the water. The company's ham, bacon, lunchmeat and hot dog products are positioned as quick meals for anglers in a boat or families gathering at home.

Krintz says the backing comes after years of dreaming about competing at a professional level.

"I've loved fishing since I was a kid, and getting to compete at this level is something I've dreamed about for a long time," Krintz said. "To have Kentucky Legend believe in me and become part of this journey means a lot. And I'm definitely not complaining about having Kentucky Legend ham sandwiches in the boat."

The partnership will track Krintz on and off the water, covering early mornings, long tournament days, travel, weigh-ins and the communities tied to competitive fishing.
