Canyon Ranch Austin Opens With Texas' Largest Spa

Austin, Texas – October 30, 2026 -- Canyon Ranch Austin is now open to guests, with 141 rooms, a 40,000-square-foot spa billed as the largest in Texas, and homes for sale from $3.8 million, all less than an hour from downtown Austin.

The resort sits on more than 600 acres overlooking Lake Travis and includes 1.5 miles of shoreline plus a network of trails. Texas architecture firm Lake Flato designed the property to link indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can choose from more than 30 daily activities, as well as individual consultations and programs covering fitness, mental wellness, spirituality, nutrition, and performance.

The spa has 40 treatment rooms and two pools

Beyond the treatment rooms, the spa has a salon, a retail boutique, hot and cold therapy, and immersive rain showers. Men's, women's, and co-ed lounges are included. The menu covers massages, facials, and body treatments, along with Eastern medicine and newer recovery technologies. Celebrity facialist Iván Pol, creator of The Beauty Sandwich sculpting facial, will host a weekend event.

A 27,000-square-foot fitness barn and a medical center anchor the grounds

The Barn offers a gym, studios, and an outdoor field for movement. The 12,000-square-foot Wellspring medical center houses physicians, clinicians, and CR Vitality, a recovery lab.

The Women's Wellness Collective debuts with a November retreat

The new program pairs conventional medicine with complementary practices. It focuses on perimenopause, menopause, hormonal health, and life transitions, and offers services including DEXA scans and hormonal therapy. Its first retreat, Sex, Skin and Sleep, runs November 12–15. A wellness and beauty retreat with Camilla Alvez McConaughey and a health and performance retreat with Dr. Stacy Sims are also planned for the rest of 2026.

Michelin-starred chef Val Cantú leads the food program

Two restaurants are part of the all-inclusive stay. Flying X Café is casual, while Estella is the fine-dining option. Culinary Director Val Cantú, a native Central Texan, holds three Michelin stars for Californios in San Francisco, the first Mexican restaurant to earn that honor. Executive Chef Blake Ransom oversees the daily menu.

CEO Mark Rivers said guests will leave "inspired by all that's possible in their lives."

Homes start at $3.8 million

The Ranch Home Collection offers homesites from 0.8 to 3.7 acres. Lake Flato created three designs, ranging from 3,200 to 4,800 square feet. Residents get access to concierge health care.

Transportation from Austin-area airports to the property is included, in a fleet of specialty vehicles from automotive brand Genesis.
