Ozempic carries FDA approval for treating type 2 diabetes. When clinicians prescribe it for weight management, that use is off-label and remains entirely at the clinician's discretion.
Approved patients get coaching alongside their prescription
Patients who qualify are paired with ongoing care coaching rather than a single appointment. Meant Health describes this as a way to maintain a steady point of contact as a patient's plan unfolds.
