The practice, founded in 1996 by Dr. Pamela L. Sands, DDS, now operates as a fully digital office. Its new site, allaboutsmilesoceanside.com, lets patients browse services, meet its three specialists, and access care resources online.
Dr. Sands built the practice around pediatric and special-needs dentistry
Dr. Sands earned her DDS at Stony Brook University and trained in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She has specialized training in treating patients with developmental and physical disabilities.
The renovated office runs on radiation-free scanning technology
The updated space uses the iTero Lumina scanner, which applies near-infrared imaging to diagnose dental issues without traditional digital radiography. The practice frames the upgrade as part of a broader push toward comfort and modern technology for patients of all ages.
Two additional specialists round out the practice's multispecialty team
Dr. Christine Collins, DDS, handles general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry; she trained at Stony Brook University and Northshore University Medical Center and is pursuing further implantology study through NYU and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Board-certified orthodontist Dr. Navinder Nat, DDS, trained at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completed her orthodontic certification at St. Barnabas Hospital. Her practice includes airway-focused orthodontics and TMJ therapy.
