Sierra Nevada Retreat Rebrands as Still Mountain Wellness

California Hot Springs – October 12, 2026 -- A 240-acre Sierra Nevada sanctuary that offers breathwork, silent stays and corporate renewal retreats now operates as Still Mountain Wellness Retreat, the new name for the non-profit formerly known as Vedanta Spiritual and Holistic Retreat.

The name is a DBA. The legal structure, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and organizational roots stay the same, according to the center's director, Deepak. He said the new name reflects daily life on the campus, where guests come to learn the mechanics of breath and to walk in silence.

A 3,100-foot foothill campus with thermal mineral waters

The property sits at 3,100 feet in California Hot Springs. It offers natural thermal mineral waters, mountain views and unpolluted night skies. The retreat works with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Point Blue Conservation Science and the Roots Project. These partnerships protect native oak woodlands, spring watersheds and migratory wildlife corridors across the campus.

Six program tracks cover breathwork, silence and executive burnout

Small groups stay on site with certified instructors. Meals come from a sattvic vegan kitchen serving organic, plant-based food. The programs are:

  • The Art of Breathwork for Wellness and Stress Reduction: the signature program, teaching classical pranayama techniques and respiratory mechanics. Participants learn methods to regulate autonomic responses, strengthen vagal tone and expand lung capacity.
  • Silent Natural Retreats and Contemplative Stays: residential immersions built around noble silence, mindful walks on private ridge trails and self-inquiry. Guests disconnect from personal communication devices.
  • Women's Restorative and Mindful Gatherings: small-group retreats with peer circles, gentle movement and guided breathing.
  • Full Moon and New Moon Meditations: outdoor evening sessions timed to lunar cycles, with breath preparation, seated meditation and night-sky contemplation.
  • Corporate Leadership and Executive Renewal Retreats: private residential intensives for companies, founders and executive teams, focused on burnout prevention and strategic reflection through structured silence and group breathwork.
  • Guest Teacher Residencies and Campus Hosting: independent yoga teachers, meditation guides, breathwork instructors and non-profit leaders can host their own workshops. The campus has indoor and outdoor practice spaces, private and shared accommodations, walking paths and meal service.
Follow-up check-ins and community scholarships

After a retreat, guests can book scheduled follow-up check-ins to build breathwork habits into family and work routines. The non-profit also offers community scholarships.
