Mountain View – – September 18, 2026 -- Yuvan Research Inc. has introduced NEEL Gel, a skincare product built around GHK-Cu, a copper peptide the company says restores collagen in aging skin rather than temporarily masking wrinkles.
Dr. Michael Snyder says the gel is the only skincare product he uses besides moisturizer
Snyder, Stanford's W. Ascherman Professor of Genetics and director of its Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine, has used NEEL for more than two years. In a company-produced video, he says small wrinkles "disappeared rather quickly" while larger wrinkles are diminishing more slowly. NEEL's website describes him as looking 25 years younger than his chronological age.
The formulation contains 3% GHK-Cu, a peptide that declines with age
Research examining gene-expression data has linked GHK-Cu to biological pathways involved in collagen production, inflammation, tissue remodeling and cellular repair. Yuvan Research spent roughly three years developing NEEL and a specialized dispensing system meant to limit the peptide's exposure to oxygen, which can destabilize it during regular use.
A 90-day study measured a 28% average increase in collagen
In an Institutional Review Board-approved study, 21 volunteers used NEEL for 90 days. High-resolution ultrasound scans recorded an average collagen increase of 28%, according to Yuvan Research.
Snyder's account remains a personal testimonial rather than a controlled clinical result of his own skin. His continued daily use and scientific background, however, distinguish it from typical celebrity beauty endorsements.
