New York – October 30, 2026 -- Men looking for practical guidance on mental health now have a new national resource: Mediaplanet's Men's Mental Health campaign, published within USA TODAY and on the Future of Personal Health digital content hub.
Jake Shane anchors the cover story
Netflix podcaster and internet sensation Jake Shane is the publication's cover story. Editorial also comes from Howie Mandel, All-Star athlete Kevin Love, Dr. Mark Hyman and author Yung Pueblo. They share personal experiences and expert perspectives on mental health, emotional well-being, resilience and personal growth.
The campaign challenges the go-it-alone expectation
Healthcare experts, mental health advocates, organizations, athletes and public figures contribute personal stories, expert insights and practical resources. The campaign directly challenges the expectation that men should navigate mental health struggles alone. It encourages men to prioritize their well-being before they reach a point of crisis.
Mandel states the goal plainly: "I wish people would take care of their mental health the way we take care of our dental health."
Fifteen organizations back the effort
Supporters include Vibrant Emotional Health, Crisis Text Line, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the American Psychiatric Association, the YMCA, NOCD, NeuroStar Advanced Therapy and the Kevin Love Fund. The Financial Therapy Association, Spear Center, American Association of Kidney Patients, One Mind at Work, The Hidden Opponent, American College of Sports Medicine and Whitman-Walker also took part.
