Toronto – October 12, 2026 -- Men facing a prostate disease diagnosis, along with their families and care partners, can now join Let's Huddle, a global patient community offering education, peer connection, and support at every stage of care. Profound Medical Corp. announced the launch of the initiative on Aug. 13, 2026.
The community brings together patients, survivors, care partners, healthcare professionals, and advocates. Its stated aim is to change the conversation around prostate disease through education, awareness, and authentic patient experiences.
A former NFL player leads the community
Leonard Wheeler, Profound's Global Patient Ambassador, will lead Let's Huddle. A former NFL player and prostate cancer survivor, he plans to share his personal journey, elevate survivor voices, take part in educational initiatives, and encourage men to engage more with their prostate health. Wheeler said the journey can feel isolating, and that connecting with someone who has already walked the path is uniquely powerful.
Terrell Freeman, a U.S. military veteran and TULSA Procedure patient, is an active member. He said hearing from someone who had already been through it gave him the confidence to make one of the most challenging decisions of his life.
Six resources are planned for members
The community will provide:
- Educational resources on prostate disease and treatment options
- Real patient stories and experiences
- Peer-to-peer engagement and survivorship support
- Resources for family members and care partners
- Awareness initiatives encouraging earlier conversations about prostate health
- Opportunities to advocate for better care pathways
Profound says the platform is meant to help men hold more informed conversations with their physicians. The program covers the period before diagnosis, during treatment selection, and through survivorship.
Profound ties the program to its TULSA-PRO platform
Profound continues to advance MRI-guided therapies through TULSA-PRO. Chief Commercial Officer Tom Tamberrino said healthcare organizations that invest in TULSA-PRO are joining an ecosystem built around patient education, engagement, advocacy, and survivorship.
As the community grows, Profound plans to expand educational programming, patient storytelling initiatives, and awareness campaigns. It also intends to collaborate with healthcare providers and advocacy organizations worldwide.
