Brandon – November 06, 2026 -- Patients in eastern Hillsborough County can get vein screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment close to home starting Oct. 26, 2026. That is when United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) opens a clinic at 517 Eichenfeld Dr., Suite 106, Brandon, FL 33511. Appointments are already being scheduled, and the office will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic sits near HCA Florida Brandon Hospital
The location is in Brandon's established medical corridor. It serves residents of Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Seffner, Bloomingdale, Lithia, and neighboring communities. Patients from Riverview or Bloomingdale can reach it without continuing into central Tampa.
Two board-certified surgeons will see patients
Dr. Andrew Georgeson, one of UVVC's Senior Regional Medical Directors, has more than 30 years of experience as a surgeon and has specialized in vein treatment for more than 25 years. Dr. Romina Deldar is a board-certified surgeon and vein specialist with advanced training in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Ultrasound imaging guides the diagnosis
A screening begins with a conversation about when symptoms occur, whether they worsen later in the day, and how they affect work, sleep, and mobility. When further testing is appropriate, diagnostic ultrasound shows how blood moves through the legs and identifies veins that may not be circulating blood properly.
The next step may be monitoring, conservative care, a minimally invasive procedure, or no treatment at all. Some patients first try elevation, activity changes, or compression stockings, which can be part of a conservative plan.
The clinic evaluates five vein conditions
- Varicose veins: enlarged, twisted, or bulging veins that may come with aching, swelling, or heaviness
- Spider veins: small red, blue, or purple veins near the skin's surface
- Reticular veins: blue or green veins larger than spider veins but smaller than varicose veins
- Chronic venous insufficiency: weakened or damaged vein valves that make it hard for blood to leave the legs efficiently
- Venous reflux: backward blood flow when vein valves do not close properly
Five minimally invasive procedures are available
- Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): uses controlled heat to close a vein, so blood reroutes through healthier veins
- VenaSealTM: uses a medical adhesive to close a vein without heat, depending on the patient's evaluation and anatomy
- Varithena®: an injectable foam used to close certain veins, including some varicose veins
- Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy: injects a medical solution into a targeted vein under ultrasound guidance
- Microphlebectomy: removes larger, visible varicose veins through very small openings in the skin
A patient may need one procedure, a combination, continued monitoring, or none. The care team explains recommendations before treatment begins.
