Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- JMGO has debuted its IRIS Series at IFA 2026, calling it the world's first smart projector line capable of 4K resolution at 120Hz, with brightness reaching up to 6,500 ISO lumens and a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
The lineup is led by the flagship JMGO IRIS Ultra Max, with the JMGO IRIS Ultra offering the same core technology at a lower price point.
JMGO already sold more than 5,000 units in China before the global launch
JMGO first launched its 4K@120Hz projector in China in May. The company says it sold over 5,000 units within three months, prompting the decision to bring the technology to global markets under the IRIS branding.
Dual-DLPC architecture and a custom actuator deliver full 4K detail at 120Hz
The IRIS Series uses JMGO's Dual-DLPC architecture paired with a self-developed HyperPulse Actuator that performs 480 shifts per second -- double the rate of conventional actuators, according to the company. JMGO says this preserves full 4K detail even at 120Hz refresh rates.
For gaming, the projectors support VRR and ALLM alongside 4K gameplay at up to 120fps, plus what JMGO describes as the world's first Dolby Vision support at 4K@120Hz. For movies and sports, MEMC processing aims to keep fast motion and camera pans smooth. Hardware-based Anti-RBE technology is designed to reduce visible rainbow effects without raising fan noise.
The Ultra Max hits 10,000:1 native contrast; the Ultra reaches 7,000:1
Both models run on JMGO's next-generation MALC 6.0 triple-laser engine and use a dual-iris system with a 15-blade (6+9) design that JMGO says improves stray-light suppression by 11.34% compared to a 12-blade (6+6) design. A six-stage aperture control adjusts brightness and contrast for different content and rooms, while JMGO's AI DBL technology optimizes individual zones frame by frame to reveal more shadow detail while preserving natural skin tones.
The IRIS Ultra Max outputs 6,500 ISO lumens versus 4,500 ISO lumens for the IRIS Ultra. Both cover 110% of the BT.2020 color space with color accuracy around Delta-E 0.7, according to JMGO.
A 3-in-1 optical system lets the Ultra Max project onto almost any wall
The IRIS Ultra Max features optical zoom (0.88-1.7:1), four-way lens shift (vertical ±130%, horizontal ±53%), and an AI-driven gimbal offering 360-degree pan and 150-degree tilt. Its AI Screen Fitting feature automatically aligns the image to a screen, while AI Spatial Image Memory saves projection positions and app setups for different walls. The IRIS Ultra includes the same optical zoom and lens-shift capabilities but omits the motorized gimbal.

JMGO says pre-orders for the IRIS Series begin September 4, including early-bird discounts and bundled accessory and screen offers. Specific pricing has not yet been announced.
