AiPower's $2,699 Generator Runs in Rain and Moves on Wheels

Olive Branch, Mississippi – October 29, 2026 -- AiPower has announced the AiQ13000iRT, a portable generator priced at $2,699 (MSRP) that is meant to cover home backup like a standby system but can be wheeled to jobsites, campsites, events and off-grid properties.

The AiQ13000iRT delivers 13,000 starting watts on gasoline

The generator produces up to 13,000 starting watts and 10,500 running watts on gasoline. AiPower says that is enough for refrigerators, HVAC systems, pumps, lighting, internet equipment and other household appliances. Its Digital Inverter technology keeps total harmonic distortion below 3%, which the company says provides stable power for sensitive electronics and connected devices.

"Ready at home when the power goes out, then go wherever power is needed next," said Thomas Gallagher, VP of Product Development.

AiPower estimates $5,000 to $10,000 in savings over permanent standby systems

Permanently installed standby systems typically involve professional installation, a concrete pad, electrical and fuel-line work, and permitting. AiPower estimates the AiQ can save roughly $5,000 to $10,000 compared with that route, depending on the home, location and installation requirements.

A fully enclosed design lets the generator stay outside in rain

Traditional portable generators generally cannot run in rain. That can push homeowners to place them in garages, under porches or too close to the house, which creates a carbon monoxide risk. According to the source, improper use of portable generators in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces results in hundreds of deaths in the USA each year.

The AiQ is built to stay outdoors and operate in rain and other inclement weather. A feature called CO WATCH-GUARD continuously monitors carbon monoxide levels and automatically shuts down the engine if they rise.

Remote start works from inside the house

The generator offers remote, electric and recoil starting, so owners can start it from indoors during an outage. Low Idle technology adjusts engine speed to the connected load to help reduce fuel consumption and noise. AiPower also says the inverter design runs more quietly than a typical open-frame portable generator.

Broader availability is expected in early December 2026

The AiQ13000iRT carries an MSRP of $2,699. Consumers can reserve a unit through AiPower's website, with broader availability expected in early December 2026.
