Verpoorten's Christmas Market Eggnog Punch Hits Supermarket Shelves

Bonn – September 15, 2026 -- Verpoorten Eierpunsch, the warm eggnog punch long associated with German Christmas markets, will be sold in supermarkets for the first time starting October 2026. The product will arrive in the classic 0.7-liter Verpoorten bottle, expanding beyond its previous availability through the company's own online shop.

For more than a decade, the creamy winter drink has been served at over 250 Christmas markets across Germany. The retail launch responds to what the company describes as a frequently requested consumer demand.

The punch blends Verpoorten Original with fruity white wine

Verpoorten Eierpunsch combines the brand's original eggnog liqueur with fruity white wine and select ingredients to create a creamy punch with a wintry note. Served warm, it can now be prepared at home after a winter walk or during an advent gathering with friends and family.

Precast Concrete Garages Offer Triple Defense: Burglars, Storms and Heat

Bonn – September 12, 2026 -- A precast concrete garage can shield cars, e-bikes and tools from break-ins, storm damage and summer heat, according to the Fachvereinigung Betonfertiggaragen e.V. (Association for Precast Concrete Garages). The group notes that nearly half of all burglary attempts fail, and that resistance time is the key factor deterring intruders.

Doors and gates should meet resistance class RC 2

Police recommend doors and windows meet at least resistance class RC 2 under DIN EN 1627, while garage doors should be tested and classified under DIN/TS 18194. "RC-2 elements are tested with simple tools in a standardized procedure and must withstand at least three minutes of resistance. It is important that the entire element is installed correctly," says Matthäus Moser of the association.

German Rheuma-Liga Launches 'Team Rheuma' App for Patient Support

Bonn – September 10, 2026 -- The Deutsche Rheuma-Liga has released a free app called "Team Rheuma," available on the Apple App Store and Google Play since early September 2026. The app bundles the organization's digital services into one place, open to anyone interested regardless of membership status.

The app centralizes news, events, and patient connections

Users can access news, event listings, publications, and calls for clinical studies directly through the app. Push notifications alert users to new content so they don't have to check manually. Members can also read the association's magazine "mobil" within the app.

Corinna Elling-Audersch, President of the Deutsche Rheuma-Liga, said digital tools can meaningfully supplement in-person self-help efforts. She noted that staying in touch with fellow patients matters especially when in-person meetings aren't possible.
