Atlanta – October 19, 2026 -- Students across the United States can apply for $3,000 scholarships to fund technical education and training, with an application deadline of Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The money helps pay for postsecondary education and training in building automation, energy management, HVAC, electrical systems, facilities engineering and maintenance, green building and sustainability, security and related technical fields.

What Drives Home Restoration Costs After Fire, Flood or Storm

Morristown – October 15, 2026 -- The price of repairing a damaged home depends first on how far the damage spreads, according to a HelloNation article featuring Mark McManus, a Construction Specialist at M&M Construction in Morristown, New Jersey. The piece walks homeowners through fire, water, and storm scenarios, each of which sets off a different chain of repairs.

Damage extent sets the baseline for any estimate

A small kitchen fire with localized smoke and soot is a very different project from one that reaches structural framing, electrical systems, and several rooms. Likewise, a burst pipe in one bathroom costs far less to fix than floodwater that has moved through a basement and multiple ground-floor spaces.

Tankless Water Heaters Aren't Maintenance-Free, Expert Warns

Hackensack – October 13, 2026 -- Tankless water heaters need yearly care, and skipping it can lead to costly repairs, according to a HelloNation article featuring plumbing and HVAC expert Scott Wickersheim of Wickersheim & Sons in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Hard water builds up inside the heat exchanger

Many homeowners assume a tankless unit runs on its own indefinitely once it is installed. The article says that does not match reality. In homes with hard or well water, calcium and magnesium accumulate inside the heat exchanger, restricting water flow and forcing the system to work harder to heat the same amount of water.

Kansas City – October 11, 2026 -- Thomas Annunziata, 21, clinched his first ARCA Menards Series championship with a fifth-place finish at Kansas Speedway, driving the No. 70 Toyota Camry. It is also the first ARCA title for his team, Nitro Motorsports.

The title is Toyota's second in four years and third in the last six. It follows Jesse Love in 2023 and Ty Gibbs in 2021.

Teammates made the title fight tight

Paul Doleshal, general manager of sponsorships and motorsports at Toyota Motor North America, said the championship was "very competitive" among the Nitro Motorsports teammates. He said Annunziata coming out on top showed both talent and determination.
