New York – September 23, 2026 -- Great American Media has launched the first annual Great American Christmas Movie Challenge, offering fans a shot at a $100,000 grand prize for correctly predicting how America will rank its 2026 holiday movie lineup.
Fans must rank all 18 World Premiere films by October 8
The challenge asks viewers to visit GreatAmericanFamily.com/Challenge and create a personal Great American Christmas Movie List, ranking all 18 World Premiere movies from the slate from No. 1 to No. 18 based on which films they predict America will watch most. Entries must be submitted by the October 8 deadline.
A perfect prediction pays $100,000; a runner-up prize pays $10,000
At the end of the Christmas season, Great American Media will reveal the final viewership-based rankings. The eligible contestant who nails the complete order of all 18 films wins $100,000. If no one achieves a perfect match, a $10,000 prize goes to the entrant with the most correct placements.
A live Wednesday night show tracks standings starting October 21
Beginning October 21 at 8 p.m. ET, Great American Pure Flix will air a weekly live special featuring advance screenings of upcoming Great American Christmas Originals, behind-the-scenes interviews, and updated Challenge standings. Each episode will show fans how their predictions compare against real viewership data as the competition builds toward the final rankings.
The 2026 Christmas lineup starts rolling out October 8
Great American Christmas 2026 begins October 8 on Great American Pure Flix, with premieres following on Great American Family and GFAM+ starting October 10.
