TESSAN Documentary Tracks 30 Days of Wingsuit Flying in the Alps

New York – November 01, 2026 -- TESSAN has premiered Jump Into The Unknown, a documentary that follows adventure athlete and filmmaker Jamie Leibert and his wife, Sandra Zinovyev, on a 30-day expedition through the Swiss Alps.

Leibert, known as Captain Manicorn, is behind the "climb and fly" discipline, which combines big-wall climbing with wingsuit and mini-wing flights. His expeditions have taken him to more than 80 countries. Zinovyev is the film's director of photography and editor. Their three-legged rescue dog, Journey, joined them in the mountains.

Closing weather windows rewrote the itinerary

The couple entered the Alps without a scripted ending, carrying one question: what makes an adventure truly worthwhile? Weather windows closed quickly, routes had to change, and gear and transportation added new variables. When weather blocked a flight, they waited. When routes shifted, they reassessed.

In the film, Leibert asks, "What is the perfect journey?" His answer: it is not the destination, it is the journey.

Leibert shows fear as something to work with, not erase

Much of the film covers the preparation behind each flight. Leibert treks through deep snow, scouts routes between massive rock faces, and works with Zinovyev as conditions change.

Even with years of flying experience, he still feels fear at the edge. Before a jump, he checks his physical and mental state and returns to a place of focus. The aim is to make a clear decision while the fear is still there. As he says in the film: "Courage is taking the first step into the unknown."

The film anchors TESSAN's Courage Charge campaign

It is the first documentary TESSAN and Leibert have co-created, and a cornerstone of TESSAN's Courage Charge brand campaign. TESSAN CEO Alex said the company did not want a commercial story built around Leibert and instead gave the camera room to capture what actually happened.

Leibert also founded the Battling Monsters movement, which uses adventure, film, and nonprofit work to explore fear, resilience, and mental health. TESSAN says it plans to keep working with Leibert and Zinovyev on their next journey.
