Bloomingdale, Ill. – September 22, 2026 -- Urban Air Adventure Park's Bloomingdale location reopens October 3 from 10 AM to 2 PM at 140 E Lake St, nearly a year after closing, with a community celebration and giveaways for families.
The first 100 guests in line win free admission for a year
The grand re-opening event includes a ribbon cutting with the Bloomingdale chamber of commerce and local leaders, plus prizes and activities for the whole family. Guests who sign up as Founding Members by October 3 can lock in a limited-time pre-paid membership rate of $157.37, which includes up to five months free.
Three couples who met in India are taking over as new owners
Best friends and business partners Shivangi Shah, Sangeeta Patel and Sweta Patel, along with their husbands, purchased the 40,000-square-foot park in May 2026. The trio met in India before relocating to the U.S. and became business partners in 2014, starting with an investment in a car wash before expanding into other ventures. Urban Air marks their first foray into franchise ownership.
"This isn't just a business for us, it's a place we bring our own kids to have fun, and we want every family in this community to feel that same excitement," said Vipal Shah, Shivangi's husband and a manager at Urban Air Bloomingdale.
Four new attractions join the park's existing lineup
The refreshed park is adding a reinstated Stairway to Heaven obstacle course, a Dodgeball arena, a new Laser Tag arena and an AirCourt indoor sport court. These join existing features such as trampoline arenas, ropes courses, climbing walls, the Sky Rider indoor zipline and multi-level tube playgrounds.
The Urban Café serves food developed by a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef
Families can refuel on pizza, snacks, desserts and beverages between activities. The park also offers customizable party packages with a dedicated host, private party room and cleanup handled by staff, along with hosting corporate events, team-building sessions and school outings.
Regular hours resume this fall across a seven-day schedule
Urban Air Bloomingdale will operate Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM, Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM.
