MIAMI -- August 30, 2026 -- House of Horror Haunted Carnival opens its 25th season on Thursday, Sept. 24, at a new home inside Tropical Park in Miami, running through Sunday, Nov. 1. The anniversary lineup replaces every haunted house from prior years and adds Howie's Blind Terror, billed as the only haunted dark roller coaster of its kind in the United States. A single ticket, priced from $39.99 online, now covers all five haunted attractions, unlimited carnival rides, outdoor scare zones and a new family zone, with free parking included.
"Celebrating 25 years of House of Horror is an incredible milestone, but this season is really about what comes next," said Tony Albelo, president of Loud And Live Events, the company that produces the event.
Riders Launch Into a Pitch-Black Coaster
Howie's Blind Terror combines a haunted house with a roller coaster, sending riders through total darkness past live wires overhead and sudden drops underfoot. The attraction folds a scare experience into a high-speed ride, a format organizers say has no direct equivalent elsewhere in the country.
Five Fresh Haunts Replace Last Year's Lineup
Every haunted house at the carnival is new for 2026. Hide and Seek: The Warden's Game turns a fictional Miami junkyard into an interactive, choose-your-own-path chase where no two runs play out the same. Camp Dead-End Trails traps escaped inmates at a snowbound Vermont ski camp with no cell service, while The Abduction, staged inside a purpose-built dome, gives guests the event's first 360-degree haunted experience built around a military bunker breach. Isla de las Muñecas strands plague survivors on a cursed island populated by a cult worshipping rotting effigies.
Family Zone Keeps Younger Kids Away From the Scares
House of Little Horrors, new this season, gives families a lower-intensity area with kid-friendly rides, a low-scare maze, photo spots and vendors geared toward children. The haunted attractions are recommended for guests 16 and older, and child admission does not include entry to them, though the midway and family zone stay open to all ages.
One Ticket Now Covers the Whole Midway
Online general admission runs $39.99, with tickets for ages 6 and under at $19.99; gate prices rise to $45.99 and $20.99, and children 2 and under get in free. That single ticket includes all five haunted attractions, more than 20 midway rides, scare zones, House of Little Horrors and free parking, and the event runs weeknight promotions throughout the season.
New Skip-the-Line Pass and Law Firm Partnership Return
The HOH Bye-Pass, a front-of-line pass covering every haunted attraction including Blind Terror, debuts this year in limited online-only quantities, priced at $20 on weekdays and $40 on weekends. Miami law firm Amanda Demanda returns as the event's exclusive legal partner under a new three-year commitment, sponsoring a ride-share drop-off and pick-up area and an annual initiative that hosts more than 500 local Police Explorers and municipal leaders. Cervecería La Tropical returns for a second year as the event's official beer partner.
The carnival runs Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m., with hours extending to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and stays closed on Sept. 28 and Oct. 5.
