Cologne, Germany -- September 01, 2026 -- Huawei closed out five days of hands-on gaming at Gamescom 2026, drawing players from around the world to its AppGallery and GameCenter booth in Hall 7, Stand B.031, from August 26 to 30. Visitors tried titles including World of Tanks Blitz, Asphalt Legends and MapleStory R: Evolution, took on stage challenges, and collected stamps around the booth for a raffle. The event capped a week built around live gameplay, community contests and giveaways tied to Huawei's game ecosystem.
Developers Bring Their Biggest Titles to the Floor
The lineup mixed Huawei's own GameCenter with outside studios. GameCenter's Mini Games Collection ran alongside SkyFu's Petal Paws, Wargaming's World of Tanks Blitz, and Rastar Games' MapleStory R: Evolution. Gameloft's Asphalt Legends, FunPlus's State of Survival, YOOZOO's Infinity Kingdom and GOAT Games' Motto Immortal rounded out the schedule, covering everything from racing and strategy to casual adventure play. A developer from SkyFu said European players showed strong enthusiasm for trying Petal Paws in person and that the response at the booth exceeded the studio's expectations.
Visitors Play, Compete and Collect Stamps All Week
Huawei built the booth for people who wanted to jump straight into the action. Attendees answered quiz questions to win rewards, entered short head-to-head challenges on the main stage, and gathered stamps across different zones to qualify for a prize drawing. Each day carried its own theme, moving from Mini Games and Petal Paws early in the week to State of Survival, MapleStory R: Evolution, Infinity Kingdom and Motto Immortal later on.
Stage Contests Peak on the Event's Busiest Day
August 29 marked the biggest day at the AppGallery booth, with two headline shows on the main stage. One centered on World of Tanks Blitz and combined audience quizzes with quick one-on-one gameplay matchups. The other spotlighted Asphalt Legends. One attendee said the sheer number of stage activities and prizes made the booth a personal highlight of Gamescom and said they planned to return the following year.
Discounts and Hardware Send Fans Home Happy
The celebration extended past the games themselves. Throughout the show, AppGallery handed out exclusive vouchers offering discounts of up to 25% in most European countries. Lucky visitors also walked away with Huawei hardware, including the HUAWEI FreeClip, HUAWEI FreeBuds 7i and HUAWEI Band 10, along with branded bags and pins from AppGallery and GameCenter that quickly became sought-after souvenirs from the event.
