SHERIDAN, WYOMING – June 11, 2025 – BMW of North America is ushering in a fresh chapter for its Central Region with a key leadership change that brings a seasoned executive back to familiar territory. Starting July 1, 2025, Patrick Clark will officially take the helm as Vice President of the Central Region, overseeing sales, marketing, aftersales, and center development across 12 midwestern states and 78 BMW dealers.
This strategic move marks Clark’s return to BMW of North America from his successful tenure at BMW Canada, where he most recently served as Director of National Sales & Network Development.
A Familiar Face Returns to the U.S. Market
BMW’s Central Region is a cornerstone of its U.S. operations, and Patrick Clark’s return brings a wealth of experience and continuity to the role. Reporting directly to Shaun Bugbee, Executive Vice President of Operations at BMW of North America, Clark steps into a leadership position he once held — now bolstered by his achievements in the Canadian market.
“Under Patrick’s leadership and guidance, BMW achieved record sales results for both BEV and M models in Canada, while simultaneously gaining market share against key competitors,” said Bugbee. “We’re happy to welcome Patrick back to the U.S. – and back to the Central Region where he successfully steered sales prior his move to the Canadian market in 2024.”
A Proven Track Record of Success
Clark’s relationship with BMW began nearly three decades ago in 1996 at BMW Group Financial Services, NA. Over the years, he held numerous key roles in Finance and Operations, eventually moving into the Southern Region as a Financial Services Sales and Marketing Manager. His strategic insight and leadership led him to become Regional Sales Manager for the Central Region in 2020 before heading north to Canada.
The leadership handover comes as Broderick McKinney, the current Vice President of the Central Region, transitions to his new role as Vice President of Used Cars at BMW Group Financial Services, NA.
Strengthening BMW’s Impact Across the U.S.
Clark’s return reinforces BMW’s commitment to growth and leadership in a competitive automotive market. His appointment aligns with the broader ambitions of the BMW Group in the U.S., where the company maintains a strong presence:
- Nearly 30 corporate locations in 12 states
- The largest BMW manufacturing facility globally in Spartanburg, SC
- A dealer network of 350 BMW retailers and more than 280 additional outlets for motorcycles, MINI, and Rolls-Royce
- Over 120,000 U.S. jobs supported and $43.3 billion contributed annually to the economy
From design innovation in California to venture capital in Silicon Valley, BMW’s footprint spans coast to coast. Patrick Clark’s return is yet another step in ensuring that BMW remains a driving force in the automotive world — not just through vehicles, but through leadership, vision, and customer engagement.
Looking Ahead
For BMW enthusiasts and customers in the Central Region, Clark’s leadership promises continuity, elevated service, and an even stronger retail experience. His proven ability to drive performance and build strong networks is expected to further energize the brand’s presence across the Midwest.
