FIAT Lights Up Turin: Over 40,000 Celebrate San Giovanni with Shaggy, Stars, and Fireworks

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 11, 2025 – Turin’s Piazza Vittorio Veneto came alive on June 24th as over 40,000 people gathered to celebrate the city’s beloved Patron Saint day with the spectacular “Torino is Fantastic” concert, proudly sponsored by FIAT. The unforgettable night of music, emotion, and fireworks brought together Italy’s most iconic artists and international reggae legend Shaggy for a dazzling open-air experience.

A Powerful Tribute to Music and Community

The crowd-packed square witnessed breathtaking performances by a star-studded lineup including Alessandra Amoroso, Annalisa, Antonello Venditti, Gianna Nannini, Il Volo, Mahmood, and Tananai, along with the rising talents from Amici. Each artist performed three of their signature hits, filling the warm summer air with passion and excitement.

Hosted by popular TV personality Gerry Scotti, the show reflected Turin’s deep musical soul and strong community spirit. International icon Shaggy made a dramatic rooftop entrance at Lingotto to celebrate 30 years of his smash hit “Boombastic”, performing a dynamic new version in a cinematic moment that blended skyline, rhythm, and nostalgia. He later drove a FIAT Grande Panda from the rooftop to join Italian singer Noemi on stage for a heartfelt duet of “Angel”.

A Night Steeped in Meaning and Legacy

FIAT’s sponsorship of the event held more than musical significance—it echoed the brand’s enduring relationship with the city of Turin. Olivier Francois, FIAT CEO and Stellantis Global CMO, expressed his pride: “FIAT and Turin have shared a profound bond for over 125 years, evident in the city's places, people, and spirit. The 'Torino is Fantastic' concert was specifically championed by FIAT to emphasize this enduring relationship, and the gathering of over 40,000 people from Turin for the concert in one of the city's most iconic squares is a powerful testament to this connection and makes me extremely proud.”

He added: “FIAT's commitment extends beyond car production, focusing on affordable, sustainable mobility and social relevance. The renewed commitment to produce the new 500 Hybrid at the Mirafiori plant by November this year embodies a vision that seamlessly blends innovation, tradition, industry, and community, and fosters optimism for the future.”

Shining a Spotlight on Lingotto’s Cultural Soul

Adding even more depth to the evening, Noemi delivered a moving monologue honoring Lingotto’s industrial legacy and architectural brilliance. Her speech spotlighted the Pista 500, a lush rooftop garden with over 300,000 plants, and the Casa FIAT exhibition space within the Pinacoteca Agnelli, painting a vivid picture of FIAT’s fusion of industry, art, and culture.

Fireworks and Broadcast Magic

As the night drew to a close, the skies above Turin exploded in color with the city’s traditional San Giovanni fireworks, thrilling attendees and wrapping the evening in a magical glow. For those who missed the live experience—or simply want to relive it—the entire event was broadcast nationwide on Canale 5 on June 29, allowing fans across Italy to enjoy the celebration from their homes.

Shaggy's Global Groove Keeps Rolling

The concert also marked a high point in Shaggy’s ongoing international momentum. As the only diamond-selling dancehall artist in history, Shaggy continues to electrify audiences around the world. He recently launched a European and UK tour with Pitbull, bringing his energetic hits to new fans and longtime followers alike.

A Night That Echoes into the Future

“Torino is Fantastic” wasn’t just a concert—it was a love letter to a city, a brand, and its people. With music, history, and innovation converging in one unforgettable night, FIAT and Turin once again proved that their bond isn’t just about cars—it’s about culture, community, and moving forward together.
