SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 31, 2024 – Amperfied, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG), is simplifying and enhancing the security of payment processing for charging electric vehicles. This initiative addresses the growing demand for streamlined payment solutions in the electric vehicle charging sector.

Collaboration with TeleCash

Amperfied is partnering with Fiserv, a leading global provider of payments and financial technology, to offer payment processing services under the TeleCash brand. This collaboration enables businesses to leverage TeleCash as a payment service provider at calibration-compliant charging points managed through the Amperfied backend. This solution automates payment and billing processes, benefiting both spontaneous charging at public charging stations and employee charging at company locations.

"With our partnership with TeleCash, we offer companies a seamless payment solution that simplifies billing processes and increases the profitability of the charging infrastructure," says Davide Ghione, CEO of Amperfied GmbH. "Our goal is to ensure that charging processes can be billed quickly, securely, and fully automatically everywhere. This cooperation strengthens our offering for charging at the workplace and in public spaces and consolidates our role as a system provider."

Dynamic QR Codes for Enhanced Security

In addition to the TeleCash partnership, Amperfied is introducing dynamic QR codes for its AC charging station connect.public. These codes enable secure ad-hoc payments at public charging points without requiring a charging card from the respective provider.

This technology offers a significant security advantage over static QR code stickers, which are vulnerable to manipulation by fraudsters. Amperfied's dynamic QR codes are weatherproof, low-maintenance, and exceed the standards of the European Union's Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR).

"With our dynamic QR codes, we want to increase security when charging and counteract the increasing number of fraud cases in public spaces," adds Ghione.

Comprehensive Solutions for Electric Vehicle Charging

Amperfied offers a range of solutions for electric vehicle charging, including payment processing with TeleCash, backend management, and a flexible rental model. This model allows companies to rent charging infrastructure, including installation and maintenance, for a fixed monthly fee, avoiding high initial investments.

Amperfied's initiatives are making electric vehicle charging more convenient and secure for both businesses and users.
