SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 18, 2024 – Last week, the Heritage Hub in Turin hosted a captivating event that celebrated the intersection of cars, music, and cinema. The event, titled "Cinema: che impresa!", was part of the "Turin Capital of Business Culture 2024" program organized by the Turin Industrial Union, with FIAT participating as a Premium Partner.

A Confluence of Industries

The Heritage Hub, a stunning location that houses an invaluable collection of over 300 Fiat, Lancia, Abarth, and Alfa Romeo vehicles, provided the perfect backdrop for this unique event. Located within the historic Mirafiori factory in Turin, the Hub welcomed experts from the worlds of cinema and Stellantis to discuss the evolution of the movie industry over the last century.

A Journey Through Automotive History on Film

The "Cinema: che impresa!" conference focused on the history of industrial cinema, showcasing images and videos that depicted the industry's transformation since the early 20th century. Speakers included Roberto Giolito, Head of Stellantis Heritage, and Maurizio Torchio, Head of Centro Storico FIAT, who emphasized the inseparable connection between the brand and the film industry.

FIAT began documenting its activities on film in 1911, capturing workshops, production methods, and the evolution of its legendary vehicles. These films serve as invaluable records of the economic and social history of the 20th century.

Cinefiat: A Legacy of Automotive Storytelling

In 1953, FIAT established its own film studio, "Cinefiat," to further promote its image and collaborate with filmmakers and intellectuals. Today, this rich audio-visual heritage is preserved at the Centro Storico FIAT, a renowned museum in Turin that houses an extensive collection of automobiles, artifacts, and archives, including over 200 hours of historic film.

A Night of Music and Art

Following the conference, the Heritage Hub transformed into a vibrant cultural space in partnership with Club Silencio, a Turin-based cultural association. Guests enjoyed guided tours of the museum's impressive collection, including the "Engine Area," which showcases a selection of over 30 significant engines from the Group's Italian brands.

The evening was filled with music, featuring a DJ set by Sick Seek and performances by local artists who blended electronic and acoustic sounds. Guests also experienced the creative genius of LABADANzky, a contemporary Italian artist specializing in urban installations made from recycled materials, through a VR experience curated by Club Silencio.

Heritage Hub: A Multifunctional Space

The Heritage Hub is open to the public for guided tours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with tickets available online. The venue is also becoming increasingly popular for conferences and company events, demonstrating its versatility as a multifunctional space.
