SHERIDAN, WYOMING – November 16, 2024 – Stellantis N.V., a leading global automaker renowned for its iconic brands like Jeep, Dodge, and Peugeot, has partnered with Factorial Inc., a frontrunner in solid-state battery technology, to accelerate the development of next-generation electric vehicles (EVs).

This collaboration marks a significant leap toward mass-producing EVs equipped with cutting-edge solid-state batteries, promising enhanced performance, extended driving range, and faster charging times.

Dodge Charger Daytona to Feature Factorial's Solid-State Batteries

By 2026, Stellantis plans to launch a demonstration fleet of all-new Dodge Charger Daytona vehicles based on the STLA Large platform, featuring Factorial's solid-state batteries. This initiative underscores Stellantis' commitment to delivering high-performing, affordable EVs, a core element of its electrification strategy.

Factorial's FEST® Technology: A Game Changer for EVs

Factorial's proprietary FEST® (Factorial Electrolyte System Technology) solid-state battery technology offers significant advantages over conventional lithium-ion batteries, including:

  • Higher energy density exceeding 390Wh/kg.
  • Reduced weight, leading to improved vehicle efficiency.
  • Enhanced performance, enabling faster acceleration and greater range.
  • Potential for lower total vehicle cost over time.

STLA Large Platform: The Foundation for Stellantis' EV Future

Stellantis has strategically chosen the STLA Large platform for this groundbreaking technology due to its focus on high-volume electric SUVs and performance vehicles. The platform, a cornerstone of Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, underpins brands such as Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati, with a production capacity of up to two million vehicles globally.

The partnership between Stellantis and Factorial, initiated with a $75 million investment by Stellantis in 2021, exemplifies a shared dedication to innovation and sustainable transportation.
