Suzuki Deutschland Invests in Solar Energy, Reinforcing its Commitment to Sustainability
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 29, 2025 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Jan. 29, 2025 – Suzuki Deutschland is taking a major step towards a greener future with the commissioning of a new photovoltaic system at its headquarters in Bensheim. This initiative underscores the company's dedication to sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint.
Harnessing the Power of the Sun
The newly installed photovoltaic system, operational since December 2024, is a testament to Suzuki's commitment to renewable energy. Comprising nearly 2,500 solar panels, the system covers an impressive 11,500 square meters – equivalent to the size of two football fields. With a capacity of 1,109 kilowatt-peak (kWp), it is expected to generate approximately 965,000 kWh of electricity annually. This substantial energy production will allow Suzuki Deutschland to meet 90% of its own electricity needs, significantly reducing its reliance on conventional energy sources.
