GR Supra Returns as Pace Car for 20th NASA Championships

Plano – October 11, 2026 -- The GR Supra will lead the field as Official Pace Car at the 20th annual NASA Championships, running September 24–27, 2026, at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida. Fans who cannot attend can watch live all weekend through the NASA livestream at DriveNASA.com.

Amateur racers from 15 regions compete for national titles

The pace car wears GAZOO Racing red, white and black livery. It will lead the nation's top amateur road racers, who represent 15 NASA regions and compete in multiple classes over four days. Championship finales are scheduled for Sunday.

Mike Tripp, group vice president of Toyota Marketing, said Toyota is proud to keep supporting grassroots motorsports and to be part of the 20th anniversary event.

Sebring's bumpy runways have tested drivers since 1950

Sebring International Raceway was built on the runways of a former Army Air Force training base. Its 3.74-mile circuit is known for fast straightaways, technical corners and a famously bumpy surface. The venue also hosts the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race.

NASA CEO Jeremy Croiset described Sebring as one of the most demanding tracks the racers will face. He also credited Toyota with helping introduce enthusiasts to performance driving.

New GR sports car buyers get a free track day

Through Toyota's partnership with NASA, every new GR sports car owner receives a complimentary one-year NASA membership. The membership includes a free High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) track day. The benefit began in 2019 for GR Supra owners and now covers all GR sports car buyers.

The 2026 GR Supra packs 382 horsepower

The 2026 model year is the last for the fifth-generation Supra. Its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six produces 382 horsepower and 368 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers can choose the 3.0, 3.0 Premium or exclusive MkV Final Edition grade.
