Polaris RZR Pro R Factory Boost: 400 HP Race Machine, $200K

Minneapolis – October 31, 2026 -- Polaris is selling a new desert race machine, the RZR Pro R Factory Boost, from $200,000 US MSRP, with up to 400 horsepower and a first order window that closes February 15, 2027.

Polaris and RZR Factory Racing unveiled the vehicle at the annual Camp RZR event at Glamis Imperial Sand Dunes. Polaris engineers designed it, and it is built in Roseau, Minnesota. It joins the Gen 2 RZR Pro R Factory rather than replacing it, so racers can choose between two platforms.

A turbocharged engine and a longer chassis target high-speed desert racing

A race-tuned, turbocharged ProStar Fury 2.0L four-cylinder delivers up to 400 horsepower. The reinforced chassis has a wheelbase extended by 6.5 inches to 111 inches, with larger tubing across key structural members. The new cage is stronger, and the cab is two inches wider for more cockpit space and legroom.

Carbon fiber bodywork was shaped with airflow modeling at 100+ mph

The bodywork is full carbon fiber with an arched roofline to cut weight and improve aerodynamic efficiency. Polaris engineers used computational fluid dynamics to model airflow at speeds above 100 mph, which informed the cage shape and the redesigned rear body profile.

A 45-gallon fuel cell extends range beyond 200 miles

The 45-gallon (170-liter) fuel cell replaces the 34-gallon system on the previous-generation RZR Pro R Factory. Polaris says it extends range beyond 200 miles and reduces pit stops.

The electronics package is fully integrated MoTeC, with an upgraded M150 ECU and two power distribution modules. The Gen 2 model has one.

Live Valve shocks and a FOX steering damper handle rough terrain

The suspension uses three-inch internal bypass DYNAMIX DV Live Valve shocks with race-specific components and upgraded one-inch shafts for added strength. A standard FOX steering damper absorbs large impacts to improve steering control at high speeds.

Alex Scheuerell, Polaris' Director of Off-Road Motorsports, said the goal is to give the team and customers every advantage to keep winning at the highest level.

Limited units are available through SCI Distribution

The RZR Pro R Factory Boost is available to order now in limited quantities through exclusive distributor SCI Distribution, LLC, which manages sales and post-sale customer support. Polaris will produce the vehicle. The RZR Factory Racing team will debut it at the 2027 King of The Hammers event, where it will compete in multiple races.
