Promoting cycling in the city – information booths, interactive events and a diverse cycling culture program at Mainkai and Osthafenpark – event calendar for joining in the action

Frankfurt – As more than 1,500 exhibitors from the international cycling and mobility industry gather on the 140,000 square meters of the fair grounds for the first Eurobike in Frankfurt, the fascination of biking will also become a visible experience in the city and region. The Eurobike City label promotes all the activities that will take place at the leading trade fair at the city's Mainkai and Osthafenpark venues from July 13 to 17, 2022. From now on, associations and initiatives can also participate with program content in the Eurobike Cycling Week. The compiled event overview will be broadcast throughout the Rhine-Main region starting June 1.

Thanks to Eurobike City, no urban dweller will miss out on the topic of cycling. Throughout the trade fair week, tours with e-bikes, mountain bikes and cargo bikes as well as excursions for women invite you to cycling experiences in and around the metropolis on the Main. At the Mainkai, which will be closed to traffic, a diverse cycling culture program awaits all bike fans on July 16 with information booths hosted by manufacturers and initiatives, as well as presentations, workshops and screenings on the stages, obstacle courses for kids and street food stands, all the way to the Frankfurt Bicycle Market (https://frankfurterfahrradmarkt.de). Over the weekend, the Osthafenpark will be the venue for BMX shows and workshops, while the "Chilling & Grilling" event featuring a DJ will also ensure a relaxed end to the day. "With Eurobike City, we invite all bike fans to let the bike culture in Frankfurt come to life during the days of the trade fair. Everyone can participate and submit their event idea, from companies and clubs to bicycle initiatives," explains Katja Richarz from Eurobike's organizer fairnamic. The Eurobike creators are promoting the program on the web, in the Eurobike app, on social media and in the local media. Ideas for the event calendar can be submitted at: https://www.journal-kalender.de/terminmeldung/home/eurobike, and the calendar will be activated on June 1, 2022.

Dedicated bike paths will be laid out between the main train station and all Eurobike locations, the Eurobike Map will show all cyclists the best route, and it will be possible to park safely in large bicycle parking areas. Furthermore, under its "Call a Bike" program, DB Connect is ready for the trade show with a fleet of more than 2,000 rental bikes, for which Eurobike visitors will receive voucher codes. Travel to Frankfurt by train is also supported with a contingent of discounted tickets and free local transport tickets.

There is infotainment for all bike fans at the trade fair grounds: The two Eurobike Festival Days on Saturday and Sunday offer action, experience, testing, bike races and top events on 140,000 square meters of exhibition space and 1,500 exhibitors inside and outside at the Frankfurt trade fair grounds. More than 1,000 bikes can be thoroughly put through their paces on large test tracks. The Drop & Roll Show of YouTube star Danny MacAskill and the Slopestyle Gold Event of the FMB promise thrilling bike action. All cycling enthusiasts will get their money's worth with the Bembel Crit, which will be held on Saturday in seven exciting race formats. In the Cargobike EuroCup on Sunday, the challenge will be to load or unload the luggage on each lap of the short sprint course – gripping scenes for the audience directly involved in the racing action.

The 30th Eurobike is open from Wednesday, July 13, to Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Public days: Saturday and Sunday. For more information, go to: www.eurobike.com. Tickets for the Eurobike Festival Days are available here: Tickets
