The platform, available on the App Store and Google Play, was founded by New York City-based stylists Jill Bream and Alexis Teller, who met while working at Saturday Night Live. Bream serves as a costume designer for the show, while Teller is co-founder and CEO of anywear.
Two service tiers cover everything from outfit checks to full wardrobe overhauls
anywear offers a Quick Fix session for $25, designed for immediate questions like outfit checks, shopping decisions, or occasion dressing. A Signature Styling session costs $55 for a 30-minute consultation covering larger goals such as special events, wardrobe refreshes, workwear planning, or seasonal transitions, and includes a personalized action plan with shopping recommendations.
The founders say the idea grew out of years of unpaid advice to friends
Teller said she and Bream were already fielding daily texts from friends and colleagues asking what to wear or buy. "I realized that access to professional styling was still out of reach for most people. Everyone deserves to feel good in what they're wearing, and anywear makes that expertise available on-demand, at a price that's realistic for everyday life," Teller said.
The app relies on human stylists rather than algorithms
Unlike fashion tech platforms built on AI-generated recommendations, anywear connects users only with experienced professionals. The company positions this as a way to catch fit issues and occasion-specific nuances that automated tools may miss, while avoiding the brand-influenced advice common on other online styling services.
Traditional in-person styling sessions can cost hundreds of dollars, a price point anywear aims to undercut with its $25 and $55 messaging-based options.
