Seattle Children's Lands on U.S. News Top 10 List for Third Year Straight

Seattle – September 17, 2026 -- Seattle Children's has secured a spot on U.S. News & World Report's Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll for the third consecutive year, a recognition given to only 10 hospitals nationwide.

The hospital ranked No. 1 in Washington state and tied for No. 1 in the Pacific region, which covers Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.

Four specialties crack the national top 10

Seattle Children's ranked in every specialty category evaluated by U.S. News. Four of those specialties -- Cancer, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Nephrology, and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery -- placed among the top 10 in the country.

Rankings draw on data from 114 hospitals nationwide

For the 2026-2027 rankings, U.S. News partnered with North Carolina-based research firm RTI International to collect and analyze data from 114 children's hospitals, supplemented by surveys of thousands of pediatric specialists. Hospitals earned "Best" designations based on clinical outcomes, adherence to best practices, and the quality of resources tied directly to patient care.

Seattle Children's CEO Dr. Christopher A. Longhurst credited the hospital's staff for the achievement, calling the third straight top-10 finish "a testament to every team member who shows up daily with purpose and dedication."
