Tysons Corner, VA – October 02, 2026 -- Tigerlily Foundation will host its Pajama Glam Party 2026 on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, bringing together approximately 150 girls, caregivers and community members for a family health literacy event tied to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The gathering, now part of Tigerlily Foundation's 20-year mission, asks attendees to trade formal wear for pajamas and sparkle, creating a relaxed setting for conversations about body awareness, family health history, prevention and emotional wellness.
A daughter's idea became a national health event
The concept originated with Noelle Karmo-Walsh, daughter of Tigerlily Foundation Founder, President and CEO Maimah Karmo, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 32. Karmo said Pajama Glam was born from recognizing that children need their own space within a family's health journey, and has grown into a multigenerational experience for learning, healing and building confidence.
Nearly 9 in 10 adults struggle with complex health information
Organizers point to that statistic, alongside persistently higher breast cancer mortality rates among Black women compared to White women, as reasons trusted health information must reach families early. Pajama Glam introduces body awareness, family health history and self-advocacy skills to girls in an age-appropriate format.
Activities blend wellness education with hands-on engagement
The October 17 program includes interactive wellness activities, body awareness education, confidence-building exercises, family conversation moments and creative expression sessions. Sponsorship and co-branding opportunities include the Passport to a Healthy Lifestyle and the ANGEL Advocacy Lounge, allowing corporate and community partners to engage directly with attending families.
Event sponsors include Pivotal Grant, Genentech, L'Oréal Women of Worth and Merck. Media availability, including interviews with Maimah Karmo, Noelle Karmo-Walsh and featured patient advocates, runs during the event window.
