New York – October 31, 2026 -- Gamers can pick up Humble Bundle's "Phunkier Physics" collection of 10 physics-based games through November 13, and a portion of proceeds supports the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
The bundle includes engineering and virtual pet games
The lineup features Besiege Master Engineer Edition, Space Engineers and Wobbledogs. Gameplay spans engineering, construction, exploration and virtual pet simulation. Humble Bundle is an online platform that sells curated collections of video games, ebooks and software, with a portion of proceeds going to charity.
NKF names itself the campaign's charitable beneficiary
The money backs NKF's work in kidney disease awareness, early detection, patient support, research and transplantation. NKF is also pursuing a goal of doubling the number of kidney transplants performed each year. CEO Marc Hurlbert, Ph.D., said partnerships like this "introduce more people to the urgent needs of patients and families."
Most U.S. adults with kidney disease do not know they have it
Chronic kidney disease affects 1 in 7 adults in the United States, and 90 percent of those affected are unaware of their condition. About 1 in 3 U.S. adults are at risk, yet fewer than 20% are assessed with the guideline-recommended tests, eGFR and uACR.
Risk factors include diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and family history. Black or African American people are about four times as likely as White people to develop kidney failure. Hispanic and Native American people experience kidney failure at roughly double the rate of White people.
Details on how the charitable portion is allocated are listed on the bundle's campaign page.
