Selma – September 15, 2026 -- Lennar will host a ribbon-cutting for a new community park at Amberwood on Saturday, September 12 at 9 a.m., marking the first park to open in Selma, California since the 1980s.
The park arrives ahead of Amberwood's official grand opening
The completed amenity includes picnic areas, a playground and a basketball court. Lennar Central Valley Division President Jason Glasglow said introducing the park before the community's grand opening lets families experience Amberwood as they'll actually live in it, noting that Selma and Fresno-area buyers have long wanted new homes with real outdoor recreation space.
Amberwood offers 15 home designs starting in the mid $300,000s
The master-planned community will feature 15 floorplans across five Lennar collections, ranging from 1,037 to 3,386 square feet with two to five bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half bathrooms. Select plans include Lennar's Next Gen suite, a home-within-a-home design with a private entrance built for multigenerational households.
Amberwood sits near central Selma with quick access to Fresno
The community offers proximity to freeways, boutique shopping, area parks and schools, along with a short commute to Fresno. Model homes at Amberwood are expected to open in Fall 2026.
Attendees at Saturday's celebration can enjoy light refreshments, tour the new park and learn about homeownership opportunities in the community.
