Woonsocket – October 03, 2026 -- Aetna, a CVS Health company, has unveiled its 2027 Medicare Advantage lineup, expanding plans that will reach 57 million Medicare-eligible beneficiaries across 41 states and Washington, D.C.
The insurer is widening access to its Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans while growing programs aimed at members with chronic conditions and those dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
Every plan includes $0 copays for preventive care and Tier 1 drugs
All 2027 Aetna Medicare Advantage plans will offer $0 copays for annual physicals, colonoscopies, mammograms, and routine eye and hearing exams at in-network providers. Tier 1 drug copays at preferred pharmacies remain at $0, and many vaccines will also carry no cost at in-network pharmacies. In every county where plans are offered, Aetna will provide at least one option with a $0 monthly premium and low or no primary care copays.
A free annual home visit now comes standard
Every Medicare Advantage plan includes an annual Healthy Home Visit from a licensed Signify Health clinician at no additional cost. The visit includes a health assessment and a check for fall risks, with findings shared with the member's primary care provider.
Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans expand to six more states
Aetna's Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs), designed for members managing conditions like diabetes and heart failure, will now be available in 25 states, up from 19. These plans include $0 copays for primary care and certain specialist visits tied to the qualifying condition. Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans, for those enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid, continue to offer coordinated coverage, with monthly allowances on an Extra Benefits Card for over-the-counter products and, for some members, help with groceries, transportation and utilities.
The High Value Provider Incentive Program enters its fourth year
The program, which rewards members for choosing high-performing primary care doctors experienced with Medicare patients, will expand into two new states in 2027. Eligible members receive extra funds on their Aetna Medicare Extra Benefits Card and, on select plans, reduced out-of-pocket costs.
Aetna is also expanding its lower-cost Prime HMO plan in select markets, giving members access to local provider networks at reduced prices. All plans continue to include dental, vision and hearing benefits, plus a SilverSneakers basic fitness membership.
An AI assistant now helps members navigate benefits
The company has added conversational AI to its Aetna Health app, aimed at helping members understand and access benefits in plain language. "The right Medicare coverage protects your health and your peace of mind," said Jeff Fernandez, president of Aetna Medicare.
