Kildeer – October 15, 2026 -- Amped Fitness is bringing Amped Universe, a gym split into eight themed worlds, to 20771 N. Rand Road in Kildeer, Illinois. The opening date, memberships and presale have not been announced yet.
The concept borrows from amusement park design. Members pass through portals into separate environments rather than walking past rows of equipment on one continuous floor.
Eight worlds replace one gym floor
Each destination is built around a different kind of workout:
- Amped Arena: strength training inside an ancient Roman colosseum, with Greek and Roman gods overhead.
- The Babe Cave: a women-only training space themed around the Brooklyn Bridge.
- Aura Pilates: instructor-led Reformer Pilates in a Bali-inspired setting.
- South Peach: glute and lower-body training styled after South Beach, Miami.
- Lunar Escape: a moon-themed space for meditation, stretching and breathwork.
- Azura Cove: a recovery and wellness area.
- Sweat Cinema: a theater-style room where members run, ride and climb surrounded by large-scale video content.
- Studio Suites: private, flexible rooms for solo workouts, stretching, virtual training, meetings and content creation.
Amped Fitness says the layout lets each visit match the day's goal, whether that is power, confidence, control, playfulness, mindfulness, recovery, entertainment or focus.
Strength and cardio equipment stays in the mix
Members get access to the brand's strength and cardio offering, including plate-loaded and selectorized equipment. Reformer Pilates and recovery are also included at the one club.
Founder and CEO Travis LaBazzo said the design is meant to change how people feel about going to the gym: "We want you to walk in and wonder where you want to go today."
One membership aims to replace several
Amped Fitness argues that consumers should not need separate memberships for a traditional gym, a Reformer Pilates studio, a recovery concept and specialty fitness experiences. At Kildeer, all of those sit under one roof.
LaBazzo said experiences designed this carefully have traditionally carried premium prices, and the company wants to make them accessible to more people. Pricing has not been released.
The club's address is 20771 N. Rand Road, Kildeer, IL 60047. Further details on the opening, memberships and presale will be announced soon.
