Aspen – September 15, 2026 -- Aspen Snowmass has confirmed its 2026/27 season dates and launched new lesson packages and early-booking discounts, while giving skiers until Sept. 18 to lock in current season pass prices before rates rise Sept. 19.
Aspen Mountain and Snowmass open Nov. 26, with Highlands and Buttermilk following Dec. 12
The season is scheduled to run through April 4, 2027 at Buttermilk, April 11 at Aspen Highlands and Snowmass, and April 18 at Aspen Mountain, conditions permitting.
New packages bundle lessons, lift tickets and gear for beginners
The 3-Day First Time Lesson package covers a lift ticket, lesson and rental equipment for beginners, and completers qualify for free ski access and rentals for the rest of the season. The Lesson + Lift Ticket Bundle now extends to adults and seniors, offering discounted lift tickets at $174 for adults and $86 for seniors 65 and older when bundled with group lessons.
Booking ahead cuts lift ticket and rental costs by up to 25%
Guests who purchase lift tickets 30 days in advance save up to 25%, while booking seven days ahead saves up to 20%. Rental equipment follows a similar structure: 20% off with a 30-day advance booking, or 10% off within seven days.
Pass prices rise Sept. 19, with current discounts reaching $400
Aspen Snowmass debuted an expanded pass lineup for 2026/27 covering more than 5,700 acres across its four mountains. Buying before Sept. 19 saves $400 on the Premier Pass, $230 on both the Weekday Pass and Alpine 2-Day Pass, and up to $100 on the new Flex Pass, depending on days selected.
A new Flex Pass lets skiers choose four to seven non-consecutive days
The Flex Pass, new for this season, allows guests to select four to seven ski days usable at any point in the season without blackout dates; it must be purchased by Oct. 30, 2026. The new Weekday Pass offers unlimited Monday-through-Friday access with no blackout dates, plus weekend access from opening day through Dec. 13, 2026, and from April 5, 2027, through closing day. The returning Alpine 2-Day Pass allows two days of skiing per week, any day, with no blackout dates.
All passes remain non-refundable and non-transferable, with unused days carrying no cash value; pass insurance is available at checkout.
