San Antonio – October 16, 2026 -- Memberships at the new Crunch San Antonio Goliad Rd. will start at $9.99 per month when the $11 million, 50,000-square-foot gym opens in early 2027 at 2828 Goliad Road.
The facility sits in the former standalone Gold's Gym building, at the corner of Goliad Road and SE Military Drive. It will be run by Crunch franchisee The Undefeated Tribe and will be the first Crunch location to debut the new Crunch 3.0 design in this market, pairing modern aesthetics with enhanced functionality.
The gym packs strength, studio and recovery options under one roof
Crunch says the club will fuse fitness with entertainment. The amenity list includes:
- Expanded strength and functional training areas, plus Olympic lifting platforms
- Power half-hour circuit training and personal training
- A group fitness studio, a Hot Yoga Studio and Reformer Pilates
- A functional HIITZone training area with indoor turf, plus TRX and Abs & Glutes equipment
- Relax & Recover with tanning, red light therapy, an infrared sauna and HydroMassage beds
- Kids Crunch babysitting and a Frost Locker
Franchisee Tony Hartl also promised round-the-clock hours.
The first 500 members join for $1
A founding-member promotion gives the first 500 sign-ups a $1 joining rate and a free first month. Those members also receive a complimentary one-hour personal training session, a gym bag, a water bottle and a t-shirt. Prospective members can enter to win a one-year all-access membership and lock in the Founding 500 rate through an online reservation page.
The Undefeated Tribe is adding its eighth San Antonio-area gym
Hartl founded The Undefeated Tribe in 2018. The franchisee has 80 gyms open and under development, and it plans more than 100 locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, New Mexico and Missouri by 2028. It was named Crunch's Franchisee of the Year in 2021 and earned the Brand Builder award in 2023 and 2025.

The new club is hiring more than 100 people
Crunch is recruiting managers, group fitness instructors, personal trainers, customer service representatives, facility technicians and babysitters for the San Antonio location.
