KAILAS Pairs 1,000-Fill Down Gear With a Campaign on Climbing Bonds

Chengdu – October 10, 2026 -- Climbing brand KAILAS has launched "Stay Warm, Stay Together," a campaign built around its GT Glacier Traverse Series, a line of snow-mountain gear that uses goose down with a fill power of up to 1,000.

Selected GT Glacier Traverse styles pair 1,000-fill down with ultralight fabric

The series is designed for snow-mountain climbing and balances warmth, protection and lightweight performance. Selected styles combine goose down rated up to 1,000 fill power with ZERO-Gravity Ultralight Fabric. KAILAS says the pairing delivers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, keeping climbers warm while cutting unnecessary weight.

KAILAS describes itself as one of the world's three full-category climbing brands. It makes high-altitude down jackets, technical shells and climbing hardware, all tested and refined in real mountain environments.

Five climbers anchor the campaign's stories of partnership

The campaign features Jon Otto, Principal of Chengdu Leadclimb Outdoor Instruction Center, and alpinist Zhang Qingwei (Ye Ren). It also includes KAILAS athletes Liu Junfu and Zhou Song, along with internationally renowned alpinist Aleš Česen. Zhang Qingwei and Zhou Song received the Best Climbing Achievement Award at the 19th China Outdoor Golden Rhino Awards.

Each pairing has its own history:

  • Otto and Ye Ren have known each other for two decades. They first shared technical knowledge, then went on to teach and climb together.
  • Liu Junfu and Zhou Song developed a strong understanding through joint training and increasingly challenging alpine climbs.
  • Česen has built trusted partnerships across countries and cultures through shared expertise, sound judgment and a common passion for the mountains.

In harsh alpine conditions, the campaign argues, a trusted partner provides practical and emotional support. Reliable equipment matters just as much at high altitude, where low temperatures and demanding terrain test climbers' limits.

Campaign imagery has run on digital screens in 13 cities since late September

Since late September, campaign visuals have appeared on outdoor digital screens across 13 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Macao.
