ONT Field Named 2026 Ballpark of the Year for Aviation-Themed Fan Experience

Ontario, Calif. – September 07, 2026 -- ONT Field, home of the Ontario Tower Buzzers, the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has been named the 2026 BaseballParks.com Ballpark of the Year, an honor recognizing it as one of the top fan experiences in Minor League Baseball.

The ballpark leans fully into its airport-adjacent identity.

Designed by global design firm Populous in partnership with the City of Ontario, Diamond Baseball Holdings and the Tower Buzzers, ONT Field features a center field food hall modeled after a baggage-claim carousel and a left field concourse built as an interactive runway. A vintage airplane and the runway lighting activate whenever the Tower Buzzers hit a home run.

Ontario International Airport ties the ballpark to its broader travel network.

Airport CEO Atif Elkadi called the recognition "a tremendous point of pride for our region," noting that airline partners connect the Inland Empire to destinations nationwide and abroad, drawing visitors who experience venues like ONT Field. The airport also recently filmed a safety video featuring its airline partners that will play before events at the ballpark.

The venue was built around immersive, aviation-themed storytelling from day one.

Tower Buzzers General Manager Allan Benevides said the ballpark reflects "a vision that could only happen in Ontario," crediting the venue's commitment to authentic storytelling throughout its design. BaseballParks.com cited the park's "impeccable execution" of its aviation theme and the City of Ontario's push for a "best in class" professional baseball experience in awarding the title.
