Amsterdam – September 17, 2026 -- Royal Philips has partnered with Red Bull and athlete Marco Waltenspiel to complete what the companies call a world's first: a wingsuit slalom flown between seven hot-air balloons above Cappadocia, Turkey.
Waltenspiel jumped from 2,800 meters and hit speeds up to 200 km/h
Known for his distinctive moustache, Waltenspiel navigated the balloon-filled skyline at varying heights, adjusting his path in split-second decisions as wind conditions shifted. Fellow Red Bull athlete Marco Fürst flew alongside him to film the flight from the air.
The stunt launches a new campaign for Philips OneBlade
The project ties into Philips' OneBlade grooming line, which the company positions around personal style rather than a single standard look. Shumit Mongha, OneBlade Business Leader, said the partnership celebrates people who challenge convention and pursue what feels authentic to them, calling Waltenspiel's flight "bold, individual and unmistakably him."
Waltenspiel described the jump as requiring both personal preparation and trust in his team. He said small rituals help him stay grounded before difficult jumps, and that the Cappadocia flight depended on every detail aligning and on relying on instinct once the right moment arrived.
