SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 7, 2024 – In sunny but stormy weather, the Passat presented itself to North German water sports fans with its brand-new tarpaulin in Travemünde on October 3rd. The new boot Düsseldorf motto was emblazoned on the canvas and visible from both banks of the Trave. "We love water" has been on everyone's lips since September and has been inspiring the boot community both as a slogan and as a song. Director Petros Michelidakis was able to get an idea of the motto's radiance in Travemünde and explains: "We love water means that we fans love the water. If you want to belong to the community, join in, come to boot, find out more and just have fun with friends. With our new motto, we will carry the topic of water sports with all its facets into society and inspire people to take part. Here in Travemünde we are right among the active people on the Baltic Sea and we also offer athletes a fascinating platform in Düsseldorf." The song is available to download free of charge on Spotify and YouTube, link at www.boot.de.

The Rhinelanders and their trade fair have been partners of the Lübeck Yacht Club and on board in Travemünde for over 50 years. So, of course, they were also there when the young Atlantic crossers around skipper Clara Weimer returned to their home port of Lübeck on October 3rd, 2024 after a sea voyage of over 400 days. The 27-year-old and her crew had spruced up the yacht club's over 30-year-old training ship, decorated with the boot logo, for the trip and set sail from Travemünde at the beginning of August 2023. Accompanied by an armada of local sailing boats, the "Meu" covered the last few nautical miles in Lübeck Bay on Thursday and sailed back into the Trave in quite stormy weather and high waves. Directly opposite the traditional four-masted barque "Passat" with its new "We love water" tarpaulin, she docked at the marina and was enthusiastically welcomed by family and friends. Petros Michelidakis and boot President Robert Marx also welcomed the young sailor and her crew on behalf of boot and spontaneously invited them to visit Düsseldorf in January so that they can report on their adventures - including an orca attack - to a wide audience.
