Loveland, Colo. – September 18, 2026 -- X-Golf America has launched X-League: Fall Season, a nationwide 3v3 indoor golf competition open to players of every skill level, with a $10,000 grand prize on the line. The league runs at all 138 X-Golf locations across 38 states, using a handicapped scoring format so beginners and low-handicappers can compete on equal footing.
Players compete on digital re-creations of Pebble Beach and Oakmont
Local qualifying rounds take place on newly remastered, enhanced-graphic simulator versions of famous American courses, including Pebble Beach, Kapalua, and Oakmont. Every shot is captured digitally, and players must physically chip and putt to finish each hole rather than relying on auto-converted results near the green.
"X-Golf captures digital data on every shot, so there's no self-reported scorecard to manipulate," said Harry Tanner, PGA Director of Golf at X-Golf America. He said that makes handicaps harder to inflate for an unfair edge, helping identify players who performed best relative to their own ability over the season.
Teams of three play individual net stroke play rounds
Each X-League team fields three golfers, with every player's raw score adjusted by their handicap. Multiple tee distances -- men's, senior's, and ladies' -- are offered to account for differing skill levels.
Michael Ruvolo, CEO of X-Golf America, said the company runs more indoor golf leagues than any other operator in the country and is now unifying them into a single nationwide competition.
Local qualifying runs through January 31, 2027
Local Qualifying opens nationwide in late September 2026 and continues through January 31, 2027, with exact start dates varying by location. Regional Qualifying follows in February 2027, consisting of 27 holes played across three 9-hole rounds.
The four teams that advance past Regional Qualifying win an all-expenses-paid trip to X-Golf Headquarters in Colorado for the National Finals, where the winning team takes home the $10,000 grand prize. Facility administrators will accompany advancing teams to Colorado.
Some locations are adding extra league nights to meet demand
Danny Fabrizio, Regional Manager of X-Golf Colorado, said many locations are now running four to five league nights per week to accommodate more players wanting to compete. X-Golf is promoting the league through a national NBCUniversal advertising campaign on Peacock, targeting markets including New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Dallas.
Golfers can sign up for X-League: Fall Season at their local X-Golf location.
