Escort Redline 360c Update Adds Up to 24% More Radar Range

CHICAGO – November 03, 2026 -- Escort has released a firmware update for its flagship Redline 360c radar detector that extends detection range by up to 24% in company testing, giving drivers more time and distance to react to alerts.

K and Ka Band gains measured against earlier firmware

Compared with previous firmware versions, testing showed a 21% range increase on K Band. Ka Band detection improved across the tested frequencies, with gains of up to 24%.

Better signal recognition aims to avoid extra false alerts

Improved signal-to-noise ratio algorithms help the detector pick out weaker radar signals at greater distances. Escort says the update adds sensitivity without hurting accuracy, response times, or filtering performance, and without creating additional false alerts. It builds on firmware released earlier this year that improved response times.

Escort CEO Jonas Forsberg said range matters most when paired with "the precision to distinguish meaningful signals from surrounding noise." He described the update as a way to advance the experience for drivers who already own the company's flagship.

Other Escort and Cobra models also get updates

Firmware updates are also available for the ESCORT Redline 360c International and the MAXcam 360c. The newly released Cobra RAD 390 and RAD 490i receive hotfixes.

The release comes as Escort marks its 50th anniversary this year.
