Olathe – September 22, 2026 -- Garmin has launched a real-time racing solution that lets drivers see digital flag signals and track conditions directly from the cockpit, with a combined package priced at $1,699.99.
The system pairs Garmin's Catalyst 2 with MYLAPS flagging tech
The setup connects a Garmin Catalyst 2 driving performance optimizer to a MYLAPS X2 RaceLink Club on-board digital flagging device using an In-car Flagging Y-cable. At tracks equipped with MYLAPS race control technology, drivers can view live personal and track flag signals on the Catalyst 2's 3-inch LCD screen, covering conditions like weather changes, safety checks and recovery operations.
This marks the first MYLAPS integration since Garmin's 2025 acquisition
Garmin acquired MYLAPS, described as the global leader in automated sports timing and tracking systems, in 2025. This release is the first product to combine MYLAPS racing insights with Garmin's motorsports lineup.
Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, said the tool helps drivers react faster to changing track conditions by combining GPS and motorsports expertise from Garmin with racing insights from MYLAPS.
The bundle includes a one-year service plan and a cage mount
The full package -- MYLAPS X2 RaceLink Club with a one-year service plan, Garmin Catalyst 2, the In-car Flagging Y-cable and a tetherable cage mount accessory -- can be purchased together or as separate items. Buyers ordering multiple components may receive them on different ship dates, with timing estimated at checkout.
The MYLAPS device is not a timing transponder and only functions with the MYLAPS X2 Race Control system; drivers are advised to confirm compliance with their series organizer or track before buying. Garmin notes the Catalyst 2 is intended solely for recreational use in a circuit environment, not on public roads.
Garmin also recently introduced the Catalyst R1 racing radar, which uses heads-up cockpit lights to alert drivers to vehicles approaching from behind.
